Welcome to the Lynwood School of Veterinary Nursing

Centred in Poundbury, Dorchester, we provide high quality tuition to students over four different counties, with over one hundred students now on programmes covering the following courses:

• ABC Animal Nursing Assistants Certificate (formerly the Pre-Veterinary Nursing Certificate) Level 2
• RCVS Veterinary Nursing Diploma Level 3
• Veterinary Practice Administration Certificate (VPAC)

The nursing courses are run in partnership with Myerscough College, who provide administrative and educational support as well as a source of funding.

The school consistently manages to achieve high passes in all courses, exceeding national standards.

ABC Animal Nursing Assistant Course 

The ANA course is designed for those students who can not find a position within a training practice, or who are currently working in veterinary practice (full time or part time) who wish to expand their knowledge and practical skills; it provides a recognised and valued qualification.  It allows students to progress onto Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN) Level 3 Diploma Veterinary Nursing course but who do not have the necessary 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent).  The course will prepare students for progression into veterinary nurse training.
